Ashraful Karim

Ashraful is an internationally trained lawyer with decadelong experience in the field of law.

Ashraful has appeared as a litigator for Family Law, Civil Litigation and Domestic Assault in different courthouses located in Toronto, Brampton, Oshawa, Barrie and Newmarket of Ontario. Ashraful helped clients in resolving their Family Law and Divorce related issues such as Separation Agreements, Child & Spousal Support, Access to & Custody of children, International Parental Child Abduction, Child Protection and Matrimonial Property Division.

Ashraful also appeared before Court, Tribunals and University Senate Committee in the matter of Contract Disputes, Real Estate Misrepresentation, Domestic Assault, Wills & Estate, Municipal Zoning Violations and Academic & Disciplinary Appeals.

After achieving the degree of Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) with honours, Ashraful started his career as an intern in the legal & compliance division of Citibank, N.A. back in 2006. While continuing his job, he simultaneously completed MBA in Strategic Management from the top institution of Bangladesh. He worked as in-house counsel for various MNCs before immigrating to Canada.

Before getting called to the Bar of Ontario in 2015, Ashraful obtained work experience and training at a Toronto based Corporate & Securities Law Office. During his training at Ryerson University, Ashraful won the Access to Justice Innovation Challenge award along with his other team members. Ashraful also received his Training in Negotiation from the Stitt Feld Handy Group of Ontario.

Ashraful is fluent in English, native in Bengali, and has familiarity with Hindi and Urdu.
